Gajar halwa is one of the most favorite sweet dishes in PAKISTAN. You can make Gajar Halwa easily by following these steps.

INGREDIENTS:


Carrots                                    1 kg
White Butter / khoya              1/4 kg
Sugar                                      1 Cup
Oil                                          2 Table spoon
Almonds                                1/2 cup
Milk                                       1/2 kg
Dry Fruits                             As Required(For Decorating)

Recipe :



1- 1st of all wash the carrots after peel off them. Now crush them bitterly.

2- Turn on the flame. Now Take a kettle and put oil or ghee in it. when the oil gets hot put the crushed carrots in it and let the carrots be cooked maximum for 10 minutes.

3- Stir it continuously.

4- When the carrots reveal water put sugar + almonds in it and let it cooked just for 5 minutes.

5-After that put milk in it and cover up to be cooked until the the milk gets dry.

6- continue to stir and simmer till the whole mixture becomes dry. the milk should evaporate completely and you will see fine milk solids in the halwa. remember to scrape the milk solids stuck at the sides of the kadai or pan and add them to the gajar halwa. some moisture is also fine in the halwa.

7- At the end put white butter in it and cover up just 2 to 3 minutes.

8- Dishout halwa and decorate it with dry fruits if you want.

9- Your tasty Gajar Halwa is ready to serve and eat.
